Help in setting up HOOKS

Hello!

I am trying to set up hooks to send me via ntfy the env variables. but I have no idea how to set them up
I would like upon success hook to send

• ADDED_SIZE
• FILES_CHANGED
• FILES_ADDED

    hooks:
      before:
      - curl -d "Starting backup" ntfy.sh/mytag
      after:
      - curl -d "Backup Finished" ntfy.sh/mytag
      success:
      - curl -d "Backup Successful" ntfy.sh/mytag
      failure:
      - curl -d "There was an errror" ntfy.sh/mytag

How can I implement the variables? and the metadata?

In your hooks, the variable names need to be wrapped with ${ and }. For example:

curl -d "Backup Successful. Added ${ADDED_SIZE}. Changed ${FILES_CHANGED} files. Added ${FILES_ADDED} files." ntfy.sh/mytag

I have just spun up an ntfy server just to check if it works, and it does not.

According to https://autorestic.vercel.app/location/hooks#environment-variables the env format is slighty different.
So it should be AUTORESTIC_FILES_ADDED_$YOUR-BACKEND-NAME

I think you can check by adding printenv | grep AUTORESTIC_ in a hook so see the available env vars you can use.

I am trying:

curl --location http://server/notify/monitoring --form tag="tgmonitoring" --form body="Backup Successful. Added ${ADDED_SIZE}"

without any luck
