Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Situation Report in Japan

The state of the infection of the new coronavirus (COVID19) in Japan was summarized visually from a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

• Number of PCR tested positive, patients hospitalized, discharged, and deaths, by publication date and prefecture.
• The column next to publication date changed from positive cases with symptoms to all positive cases on 28 March and after.
• Prefectures with no positive cases / with symptoms do not appear.

• Number of people PCR tested does not include all PCR tests conducted in Japan. For example, it does not include confirmation tests when a patient is discharged.

• It will be updated on an irregular basis according to the announcement by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
