Hello, would you mind sharing an EPUB with which you are able to reproduce this bug? |

Sure, here's one I just tried.

I have both Catalina and BigSur MacOS computers, so I will be able to
troubleshoot this.
Thank you!
Regards, Daniel

I am experiencing the same issue. I just switched to a new MacBook Pro 2022 running Monterey 12.6.1, and can no longer validate epubs using ACE by Daisy. I tried running several epubs that had successfully run on my previous MacBook Pro, but they just get stuck running, and never produce a result. I deleted and reinstalled the latest version of ACE by Daisy (1.1.5), but get the same result. I think this is possibly related to Intel vs Apple Silicon? |
@Magess and @kvtomes are you able to reproduce this behaviour with Ace App v1.3.2 ? |
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, v1.3.2 still won't process any epubs when
running on my Mac. It just keeps spinning indefinitely. I've attached a
couple screenshots in case it helps.
Let me know if you need any other info,
Kris

Same for me. I updated to 1.3.2 and tried it just now and it does the same thing. |
Hello, I am afraid I am not able to reproduce the problem you are experiencing. I downloaded Ace App (GUI) 1.3.2 on my MacBook Air M1 (original / early Apple Silicon ARM64 hardware) and the Rosetta emulation of X86/64 instructions from the Ace executable is working fine. I tested with the EPUB linked above in this discussion thread. I am using the latest version of Mac OS Ventura 13.5 (22G74). What version are you running? What hardware are you using? Thank you |
One day Ace just stopped working. I have MacOS Big Sur installed, and Ace runs and never does anything.
I removed the previous version and installed the newest version and the behavior did not change. There are no error message, so I cannot report any additional detail about what's wrong without a dev telling me what logs to provide.
