Here is a proposed release schedule for v21.0.0, the next major release of Dash Core.

Primary blockers

No blockers, currently.

2024-6-25

• Soft Feature freeze (no new ideas, any merged PRs should implement an open issue)
• Soft translation string freeze (no large or unnecessary string changes until release)
• Start RC cycle, tag and begin building v21.0.0-rc.1 soon
• Open Transifex translations for v21
• Begin devnet testing of latest nightly

2024-07-01

• Release v21.0.0-rc.1

2024-07-07

• Begin testing v21.0.0-rc.1 on testnet

2024-07-14

• Hard feature freeze (No new PRs except for release PRs and fixing breaking / non-QOL bugs)
• Translation string freeze (no more source language changes until release)
• Begin Release Process
• Split off v21.x branch from develop
• Start merging for v21.1.x on develop

2024-07-24

• Ensure that all chainparams are updated
• Tag and start building v21.0.0

2024-07-29

• Release v21.0.0 final
