In some scenarios it should be desirable to have available a readSync method.

This issue was originally created at XbyOrange/mercury-memory#7. That project seems to be no longer maintained, so it should be fixed in this one.

The readSync method is not needed from v2.0.0, initialState option can be used to determine the initial state of the provider, which can be accessed synchronously.
