I am echoing the email of Lambert Creyghton's email here which I often get into my email box from other developers as well.

Dear Sir. I've just installed your Table of Content Plugin for Elementor and watched your instruction video on YouTube. With me it does not work as in the video ... probably I do something wrong. The problem is I can not see the changes I make in real time. I am working on a page, not a blog. I dragged the TOC Headings widget into my page and what I see then is the titlebar Table of Content. Nothing else, no further contend of my page with severals headings. Only, if I go to View Page, I see the content. But that is difficult to work with since I want to make changes, like color or typography, and want to see that in real time. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks and greetings from the Netherlands, Lambert Creyghton

Solution :

There are two ways,

  1. Go to advanced tab of the text block. then assign the css class ke-toc-headings-content (without dot). Save and refresh the page. You will see the table of content.

  1. If you don't want to assign a css class to your text block, then inspect your text block, find the existing unique css class of that div tag. Copy and paste it (with dot) in TOC Headings > Additional > Content selector. Save and refresh.
