Mass removal tool for gallery images (similar to batch tag workflow)

Basically it's a pain to remove images from galleries one by one from the image page if you want to remove a lot of them. My idea is to use the same workflow as batch tagging for a mass removal mode for users to make it a bit easier to remove a lot of images at once.

Alternatives:
Adding a tiny x in rearrange mode and then reflowing as they're clicked. Possibly bad UI design for mobile and might cause accidental deletions when rearranging.

Related ideas:
Mass add tool as well, so you can add from the search page. Might add clutter and be a bit confusing for most users though.
