I tried encoding many different strings, but none of the online decoders could understand them, all gave blank output, and it was quite expected since the first row of all images was black.

Sorry you're having trouble with the converter. It does work for me, so my guess is that there's something wrong with your input format. How are you invoking the program, and what is the exact input you're passing it (file contents or command-line argument)? The black row at the top could happen if the input started with an extra blank line or @.
