How To Build Crouton From Source

This issue isn't pretty much of an issue but rather a question.
I don't know how to build crouton from source. pretty cringy right?

BUT I know the basics like cloning the repository and building using
make command and stuff like that.
I've read the README file and there is no praise of building from source.

Are there any options I got to enter like make -d or make --debug or custom operators like make clean?

I want to see if I can enable sound with a custom configured cras

Please be nice, I learned building from source about 3 months ago and don't know much.
