[15:11.400 --> 15:18.400]  and now we have this, this is from the Australian, birds fall from sky in Australia,
[15:18.400 --> 15:24.400]  thousands of birds have fallen from the skies, and no one knows why, it is an illness,
[15:24.400 --> 15:30.400]  toxins are a national phenomenon, a string of autopsies in Perth have shed no light on the mystery,
[15:30.400 --> 15:41.400]  all the residents of the flood devastated Esperance know it is their dawn chorus of singing birds is missing.
[15:41.400 --> 15:50.400]  The main casualties are waddlebirds, yellow throat minners, New Holland honey eaters,
[15:50.400 --> 15:56.400]  singing honey eaters, although some dead crows, hawks, and pigeons have also been found.
[15:56.400 --> 16:02.400]  Wildlife officers are baffled by the catastrophic event which the Department of Environment
[16:02.400 --> 16:06.400]  and Conservation said began before last week's freaked snow.

[16:22.400 --> 16:28.400]  dropping dead in people's yards came in three weeks ago, more than 500 deaths had since been notified,

[16:33.400 --> 16:37.400]  It's very substantial, we estimate several thousand birds are dead,
[16:37.400 --> 16:46.400]  although we don't have a clear number because of the large areas of the bushland.
[16:46.400 --> 16:54.400]  The planet is not doing too well, ladies and gentlemen.
[16:54.400 --> 17:00.400]  Now, we have no idea what's causing this, no idea, I have no idea.
[17:00.400 --> 17:07.400]  We know that over the horizon radar, we know that with heart systems, we know with energy weapons,
[17:07.400 --> 17:18.400]  these are admitted develop systems in the 60s, they can kill anything in the air for hundreds of square miles,

[19:38.400 --> 19:46.400]  and so the whole family's going to commit suicide until the humans figure out their error.

[40:54.400 --> 40:59.400]  Refuse boarding for flights and a recommitment to the Geneva Conventions.

[01:12:27.400 --> 01:12:37.400]  There's quote-unquote so-called global war on terror that sees terrorists hiding under every rock, has taken on its latest front off the coast of Africa,
[01:12:37.400 --> 01:12:52.400]  East Africa, the Horn of Africa, geostrategic location in Somalia. It is a country that throughout the Cold War was really the proxy war of both the USSR and the U.S.,
[01:12:52.400 --> 01:13:01.400]  each pouring in weapons, taking turns pouring in weapons, making the country ungovernable. And it has been ungovernable really for the last 15 years,
[01:13:01.400 --> 01:13:10.400]  until about six months ago when some measure of stability finally entered the Somali, particularly the national federal governing structure.
[01:13:10.400 --> 01:13:12.400]  Can't have that. It must be Al Qaeda.
[01:13:12.400 --> 01:13:22.400]  It must be, you know, people choosing their own future, people determining their future, whole choosing their leaders and creating a space to hold those leaders accountable.
[01:13:22.400 --> 01:13:27.400]  Yeah, they're not going to let the Somali people have billions and billions in oil and natural gas revenue.
[01:13:27.400 --> 01:13:38.400]  Well, the issue really with Somalia, and it has been an issue for decades now, is its positioning right there where, you know, close to the Suez Canal, the Red Sea,
[01:13:38.400 --> 01:13:44.400]  all of international shipping flows off these vital shores off the Somali border.
[01:13:44.400 --> 01:13:58.400]  Plus, Somalia does have resources, natural resources, oil, like much of the Horn of Africa, really, these richly endowed countries are seeing the U.S. looking with its addiction to oil.
[01:13:58.400 --> 01:14:11.400]  The Bush administration is looking wherever it can to feed that addiction to oil and controlling these vital resources just as the case with Iraq is exactly what the Bush administration is about in Somalia as well.
[01:14:11.400 --> 01:14:24.400]  Well, for those that just joined us, why don't you recap, because there's been scant attention to this, what really happened, how many airstrikes there were, how many from the different groups you've talked to are really dead.
[01:14:24.400 --> 01:14:27.400]  You're an expert on Africa, especially the Horn. That's why we have you here.
[01:14:27.400 --> 01:14:29.400]  What's really going on and who they really killed?
[01:14:29.400 --> 01:14:34.400]  Because obviously whoever they killed, they swam as Al Qaeda, just like they claimed Saddam had WMDs.
[01:14:34.400 --> 01:14:40.400]  Exactly, Alex. Let's remember, this is the same intelligence unit that told us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
[01:14:40.400 --> 01:14:48.400]  That told us the Iraqi people would welcome with joyful arms the American people and that America would win hearts and minds so easily in Iraq.
[01:14:48.400 --> 01:15:07.400]  It's the very same intelligence that now is saying that nine years after the fact, nine years ago, three people went into hiding in Somalia and that they had launched aerial bombardments for three days now to seek and kill those three people who nine years ago may have gone into hiding in Somalia.
[01:15:07.400 --> 01:15:20.400]  This is once again flawed intelligence. It is foreign policy based on lies. It is an irresponsible act of war being waged by the United States, by the Bush administration.
[01:15:20.400 --> 01:15:30.400]  Let's go back to 89. They claim that two American students had been kidnapped and I have the Panama deception. I have the video where they go, no one kidnapped.
[01:15:30.400 --> 01:15:40.400]  Suddenly, U.S. troops showed up to, quote, protect us. We appreciate the protection. It was totally made up, so they'll claim two women had been kidnapped, three Al Qaeda have gone to the country of millions,
[01:15:40.400 --> 01:15:53.400]  and really, they're just mad that the Somalis beat the U.S. and the U.N. when they were in there before, and I certainly don't like images of dead and dying Americans being drugged around, but these people have been...
[01:15:53.400 --> 01:16:01.400]  Essentially, they're seeing Islam as the red scare all over again. Well, it's an excuse to go in and blow it back into the stone age. You know what's going on.
[01:16:01.400 --> 01:16:11.400]  Well, this is the problem. Somalia is a country that is 95% Islamic. Now, clearly, the Union of Islamic States, they brought a measure of security.
[01:16:11.400 --> 01:16:23.400]  If the Somali people want to choose their leaders, it's for them to decide, not for the U.S. or for the Union of Islamic States.
[01:16:23.400 --> 01:16:27.400]  Now, for those that don't know, tell us who this new leader group was that had displaced the warlords and was bringing stability.
[01:16:27.400 --> 01:16:33.400]  You can't have that, but slow them, the larger that, you can't have that with Saddam. Anybody who brings stabilization is knocked off.
[01:16:33.400 --> 01:16:40.400]  We understand the strategy of keeping the third world in total slavery through economics, but please go over for us.
[01:16:40.400 --> 01:16:46.400]  So there were two sides. One side of the warlords, who for the last 15 years have created havoc in the country, right?
[01:16:46.400 --> 01:16:57.400]  Each faction, each subclan and clan going through with their own militia and trying to really create an unstable environment.
[01:16:57.400 --> 01:17:08.400]  On the other side, you have the Union of Islamic Courts. Now, these were local courts that formed a collective body that actually created a national body.
[01:17:08.400 --> 01:17:14.400]  So this is a group actually fighting against the warlords, the people that killed our troops.
[01:17:14.400 --> 01:17:19.400]  So our government comes in and blows up the people that have taken over from the people that were killing our troops.
[01:17:19.400 --> 01:17:27.400]  And essentially what we have now is this transitional government that's been propped into place by the Ethiopian troops and the U.S. bombers.
[01:17:27.400 --> 01:17:35.400]  It is that transitional government that is made up of the remnants of these former warlords, right?
[01:17:35.400 --> 01:17:43.400]  So we have the warlords coming back and they've been escorted in, red carpeted in by the U.S. through this aerial bombardment campaign.
[01:17:43.400 --> 01:17:50.400]  And what we're really worried about is that you have four Navy ships, four U.S. battleships off the coast of Somalia.
[01:17:50.400 --> 01:18:01.400]  You have reports of U.S. quote unquote training going on, not only in Kenya and Ethiopia, but likely U.S. ground presence even in Somalia itself.
[01:18:01.400 --> 01:18:09.400]  What we're concerned about is that there will be an ongoing occupation of Somalia as has happened in Iraq.
[01:18:09.400 --> 01:18:13.400]  We have not. The Bush administration has not learned any lessons from Iraq.
[01:18:13.400 --> 01:18:21.400]  They have launched yet another preemptive war and they have right now opened the door to an ongoing occupation,
[01:18:21.400 --> 01:18:26.400]  leaving the Somali people in even more crisis than they have been in the last two decades.
[01:18:26.400 --> 01:18:33.400]  How are Somalis reacting to this from what you've gleaned from your sources in country? How are they seeing this?
[01:18:33.400 --> 01:18:37.400]  Well, first of all, the Somalis are seeing their longtime rivals, the Ethiopians.
[01:18:37.400 --> 01:18:41.400]  The Ethiopians started the campaign on behalf of the U.S.
[01:18:41.400 --> 01:18:45.400]  So the longtime rivals of Somalia, they share a border.
[01:18:45.400 --> 01:18:48.400]  They have fought over the lines of that border for decades now.
[01:18:48.400 --> 01:18:58.400]  So it's the Ethiopian troops that have come in and basically maintained a presence to lay the groundwork for this transitional federal government
[01:18:58.400 --> 01:19:03.400]  that was outside of Somalia to actually come into the country.
[01:19:03.400 --> 01:19:10.400]  So it's a government that is seen as getting its credibility because of the existence of these Ethiopian troops, the longtime rivals.
[01:19:10.400 --> 01:19:14.400]  And in addition to that, now you have the U.S. bombardments going on.
[01:19:14.400 --> 01:19:19.400]  So you have had now for three days reports of U.S. bombings in Somalia.
[01:19:19.400 --> 01:19:23.400]  The U.S. is now seen as the even bigger rival than Ethiopia.
[01:19:23.400 --> 01:19:30.400]  The U.S. trying to assert itself through this preemptive strike is going to create the very thing it's created in Iraq,
[01:19:30.400 --> 01:19:36.400]  which is a haven for more chaos, a haven for more instability, and a haven for more insecurity.
[01:19:36.400 --> 01:19:44.400]  Well, that's the global Balkans that Aburgenu Brzezinski talks about. They want to destabilize the world and have them locked in ethnic and religious tension.
[01:19:44.400 --> 01:19:51.400]  Well, it seems to be, you know, if you're going to use this mask of, you know, Islamic extremists all around the world attacking America,
[01:19:51.400 --> 01:20:03.400]  when actually it is the U.S. that has launched this preemptive attack and that is now likely to occupy, you know, an Islamic state,

[01:26:09.400 --> 01:26:20.400]  So what you have is under this mask of global war on terror, you have the Bush administration trying to decide for the Somali people who should be their leaders.
[01:26:20.400 --> 01:26:31.400]  This is something that Americans would never stand for. Americans at the time of the revolution tossed out the king and said, we have to choose our own leaders here in the United States.

[01:26:41.400 --> 01:26:48.400]  Well, this is simple monopoly men behavior. The oil companies don't want that nation being able to extract its own resources.

[01:27:01.400 --> 01:27:12.400]  So when these oil companies are looking increasingly to Africa for a source of oil to feed their oil addiction, they are looking more and more to East Africa, the Horn of Africa,

[01:27:22.400 --> 01:27:34.400]  It is an effort to control resources. This is the source of the conflict today. It is not so-called war on terror finding three people who nine years ago went into hiding in Somalia.
[01:27:34.400 --> 01:27:44.400]  That is the guy that is a mask. We have to unmask it and say the reality is this Bush administration is all about preemptive strike for regime change.

[02:13:34.480 --> 02:13:41.920]  a 24 year old kid. And I was my first nightclub. And it was a big club. And we had lots of music
[02:13:41.920 --> 02:13:47.920]  acts in there. And at the time, we were attracting all the hippies were coming to the club. And also
[02:13:47.920 --> 02:13:53.440]  that was the year the Democratic convention in Chicago. And so a lot of the hippies used to come,
[02:13:53.440 --> 02:14:01.120]  we would come to Chicago to protest the convention. And my club became like a meeting place for a lot
[02:14:01.120 --> 02:14:07.520]  of the people who were very politically active. And we were having a concert there one evening.
[02:14:07.520 --> 02:14:12.960]  The club held like 5,000 people. It was a big nightclub. And it held 5,000 people. And I was
[02:14:12.960 --> 02:14:18.960]  looking at my office window. And because we have this really, really lovely concert in there. And
[02:14:18.960 --> 02:14:23.200]  I was looking at my office window and I saw all these police patty wagons pulling up in front
[02:14:23.200 --> 02:14:28.640]  of my nightclub. And I had no idea why. And there were like 15 or 20 patty wagons pulling up and
[02:14:28.640 --> 02:14:34.160]  their blue lights flashing. And I said, Oh my God, we're being raided. And I ran down to the
[02:14:34.160 --> 02:14:39.280]  stage. I ran to the stage. And I got on the stage and I picked the microphone from the band that
[02:14:39.280 --> 02:14:44.880]  was playing. And I said, Listen, we're being raided by the police. Everybody sit down the floor
[02:14:44.880 --> 02:14:49.360]  and pull out whatever identification you have and cooperate with the police. As I said that,
[02:14:50.640 --> 02:14:55.840]  cops threw me off the stage into the arms of some other cops. And they dragged me out of the club.

[02:15:11.440 --> 02:15:17.120]  got into the patty wagon, one of the policemen grabbed me from the back of my testicles and
[02:15:17.120 --> 02:15:22.880]  just squeezed as I got into the patty wagon. And it really was very, very painful. And the person
[02:15:22.880 --> 02:15:29.120]  that came in next, as he was entering the patty wagon without resistance, they just banged him
[02:15:29.120 --> 02:15:34.960]  in the head with a billy club and spit a split of skull. And he did nothing wrong. And I started
[02:15:34.960 --> 02:15:38.240]  seeing all this stuff. I couldn't believe what was happening. I thought it was in the dream world.
[02:15:38.960 --> 02:15:47.040]  And they booked this, it took us the thing, finally we were let out. And what happened was,
[02:15:47.040 --> 02:15:52.320]  a few days later, I made the headlines in the newspapers, Electric Theater Short Circuited,
[02:15:52.320 --> 02:15:59.120]  and my picture was on the front page. And a few days later, a couple of officers, policemen,
[02:15:59.120 --> 02:16:03.440]  came to see me. One was a captain, one was a sergeant. I still remember their names,

[02:16:08.000 --> 02:16:11.840]  Mr. Russo, we're sorry if you got hurt the other night. We didn't realize that was you. You're
[02:16:11.840 --> 02:16:19.840]  so young, you know, but, you know, we controlled the city. And if you want to stay in business,
[02:16:19.840 --> 02:16:25.760]  you know, we'll let you stay in business, but there's a certain plan. We have certain plans
[02:16:25.760 --> 02:16:30.640]  you have to go by. We have the A plan, the B plan, the C plan, and the Super Deluxe plan.

[02:17:09.760 --> 02:17:13.920]  Chicago. Well, see, when I grew up in Rockwell, everybody knew the sheriff dealt all the drugs
[02:17:13.920 --> 02:17:17.920]  and any other dealer that tried to cut it on his off got arrested. Then later, higher-level
[02:17:17.920 --> 02:17:23.200]  drug dealers, FBI came and busted him. And that's just how life is. You got the naive idiots driving
[02:17:23.200 --> 02:17:26.800]  around. They have no idea what's all. And of course, you thought it was just Chicago. You told
[02:17:26.800 --> 02:17:30.080]  me you learned it was the rest of the nation. Now, you forgot to tell the part about why they were
[02:17:30.080 --> 02:17:36.320]  dumping the trash cans out. Oh, yes. This is great. This is great. So the next day in the
[02:17:36.320 --> 02:17:43.520]  newspaper, the cover story that they gave for the raid was that the fire department came to
[02:17:43.520 --> 02:17:50.160]  inspect the nightclub. And the nightclub was full of litter. And the fire department, the
[02:17:50.160 --> 02:17:55.120]  fire department officials who found all this litter in the nightclub were attacked by the hippies.
[02:17:55.120 --> 02:18:01.040]  So they had to call the police to come and protect them. That was the story. That was in the
[02:18:01.040 --> 02:18:07.440]  newspaper the next day. Total fraud, total fake. You know, just total nonsense. Totally staged.

[02:18:12.240 --> 02:18:16.080]  say it was so clear. I saw them dumping the litter on purpose. These firemen dumping the

[02:18:35.920 --> 02:18:41.360]  for a couple years back. Yeah. Well, what happened was I was a pretty big silver trader.
[02:18:41.360 --> 02:18:48.720]  And, and I took all the legal tax abductions I was entitled to take. And this was about 85 or
[02:18:48.720 --> 02:18:57.760]  86, 87. I don't remember the exact year. And what happened was that the in 89, I believe it was,

[02:39:15.320 --> 02:39:18.320]  people in Nevada saw it and really liked it
[02:39:18.320 --> 02:39:21.320]  and they invited me to come to Nevada to speak.
[02:39:21.320 --> 02:39:24.320]  And I hadn't done that before and I went there
[02:39:24.320 --> 02:39:27.320]  and they told me they had 25 or 35 people in a room.
[02:39:27.320 --> 02:39:30.320]  When I went there, there were 350 people there
[02:39:30.320 --> 02:39:32.320]  and they had opened the pick the walls in the hotel apart
[02:39:32.320 --> 02:39:34.320]  and bring more chairs in.
[02:39:34.320 --> 02:39:36.320]  And it was a very big success.
[02:39:36.320 --> 02:39:39.320]  And then I went to Las Vegas and we had over a thousand people
[02:39:39.320 --> 02:39:41.320]  come see me speak.
[02:39:41.320 --> 02:39:43.320]  And it was very, very successful.
[02:39:43.320 --> 02:39:46.320]  And out of that, they asked me to run for governor in Nevada.
[02:39:46.320 --> 02:39:49.320]  And a long story short, I decided to do it.
[02:39:49.320 --> 02:39:55.320]  And I got a call one day from the attorney woman I knew
[02:39:55.320 --> 02:39:58.320]  and she said, would you like to meet one of the Rockefellers?
[02:39:58.320 --> 02:40:00.320]  I said, sure, I'd love to.
[02:40:00.320 --> 02:40:04.320]  And we raced to have a lunch and the relationship started.
[02:40:04.320 --> 02:40:06.320]  And we became friends.
[02:40:06.320 --> 02:40:10.320]  And he was a very, very brilliant man, very, very smart.
[02:40:10.320 --> 02:40:14.320]  And we used to talk about philosophies and life
[02:40:14.320 --> 02:40:17.320]  and what I felt about life and what he felt.
[02:40:17.320 --> 02:40:21.320]  And it began to divulge a lot of things to me.
[02:40:21.320 --> 02:40:26.320]  And it was almost like, I compare it to two brothers in the Civil War.
[02:40:26.320 --> 02:40:28.320]  One's on the North, one's on the South.
[02:40:28.320 --> 02:40:32.320]  They were brothers, but they had different views about life.
[02:40:32.320 --> 02:40:35.320]  And I began to understand their point of view
[02:40:35.320 --> 02:40:37.320]  and where they were coming from.
[02:40:37.320 --> 02:40:40.320]  And I made it very clear where I was coming from.
[02:40:40.320 --> 02:40:44.320]  And they tried to recruit me and asked me if I was interested
[02:40:44.320 --> 02:40:46.320]  in joining the council on foreign relations
[02:40:46.320 --> 02:40:48.320]  or going into business.
[02:40:48.320 --> 02:40:50.320]  They opened up a series of night clubs that I could own.
[02:40:50.320 --> 02:40:52.320]  And just different things.
[02:40:52.320 --> 02:40:58.320]  And he would ask me questions about how I felt about the population there.
[02:40:58.320 --> 02:41:00.320]  I had too many people here.
[02:41:00.320 --> 02:41:03.320]  And we had many conversations.
[02:41:03.320 --> 02:41:05.320]  It's one of the conversations.
[02:41:05.320 --> 02:41:07.320]  Well, let's go back to the population.
[02:41:07.320 --> 02:41:09.320]  Because he said a number they wanted to get it down to.
[02:41:09.320 --> 02:41:12.320]  What he said was, if I recall it exactly,
[02:41:12.320 --> 02:41:15.320]  they wanted to cut it down by a third to a half.
[02:41:15.320 --> 02:41:18.320]  The population there didn't have that I feel about that.
[02:41:18.320 --> 02:41:21.320]  And I said, well, who can decide who's going to live and die?
[02:41:21.320 --> 02:41:23.320]  Who's going to decide that?
[02:41:23.320 --> 02:41:26.320]  I mean, I think there are a lot of people in the area.
[02:41:26.320 --> 02:41:30.320]  But I don't think you have the right to decide who's going to kill anybody else
[02:41:30.320 --> 02:41:33.320]  or to eliminate the population.
[02:41:33.320 --> 02:41:38.320]  And so that really wasn't an in-depth conversation.
[02:41:38.320 --> 02:41:43.320]  But what was in-depth, we tell them this story about women's liberation.
[02:41:43.320 --> 02:41:49.320]  We tell them this story about how there was going to be an event.
[02:41:49.320 --> 02:41:52.320]  Well, I mean, let's walk through each one.
[02:41:52.320 --> 02:41:57.320]  Let's do the women's liberation and then let's get into the 9-11 issue
[02:41:57.320 --> 02:41:59.320]  because you went further on that as well.
[02:41:59.320 --> 02:42:01.320]  OK.
[02:42:01.320 --> 02:42:04.320]  Well, the women's liberation issue, he was at my house one evening.
[02:42:04.320 --> 02:42:06.320]  And we were talking.
[02:42:06.320 --> 02:42:09.320]  And he used to tell me, Aaron, when I come to the afternoon place,
[02:42:09.320 --> 02:42:13.320]  they can have a relax. And he used to come there and he'd relax,
[02:42:13.320 --> 02:42:18.320]  take off his shoes, and we used to laugh and talk and share ideas and thoughts.
[02:42:18.320 --> 02:42:21.320]  And so he said to me one night, he said,
[02:42:21.320 --> 02:42:24.320]  what do you think the women's liberation movement was about?
[02:42:24.320 --> 02:42:28.320]  And I said, I thought it was about women having equal rights with men and equal pay.
[02:42:28.320 --> 02:42:33.320]  And I thought it was, at the time, I thought it was a fairly noble idea.
[02:42:33.320 --> 02:42:34.320]  And he laughed at me.
[02:42:34.320 --> 02:42:36.320]  He says, you know, you're an idiot.
[02:42:36.320 --> 02:42:38.320]  I said, why am I an idiot?
[02:42:38.320 --> 02:42:40.320]  That was really about.
[02:42:40.320 --> 02:42:43.320]  And he said, look, we at the Rockefeller Foundation pretty much financed
[02:42:43.320 --> 02:42:45.320]  the women's liberation movement.
[02:42:45.320 --> 02:42:50.320]  We helped get a press and public attention and so on and so forth.
[02:42:50.320 --> 02:42:54.320]  And he said there were two reasons why we did that.
[02:42:54.320 --> 02:42:56.320]  And I said, what were the reasons?
[02:42:56.320 --> 02:43:00.320]  And he said the first reason was we couldn't tax half the population before,
[02:43:00.320 --> 02:43:02.320]  which we can now tax.
[02:43:02.320 --> 02:43:06.320]  And the second reason was now we get the kids at an early age in our schools
[02:43:06.320 --> 02:43:09.320]  at the family, now the women's working, the man's working.
[02:43:09.320 --> 02:43:11.320]  The kids have to go to public schools.
[02:43:11.320 --> 02:43:12.320]  We get to educate them.
