pacman -S mingw-w64-x86_64-mpfr gets you the official MSYS2/mingw64 binary, why make another one that risks incompatibility with official MSYS2 and will go stale over time (as it already has, we have 3.1.6-1 now)? If you want to work on mpfr for MSYS2/mingw64 you are very welcome to submit PRs to MSYS2 itself.

Does the free software on Windows community need more and more incompatible DLLs for the sake of it?

Hi @mingwandroid, I guess I wasn't aware of that option. I needed to redistribute the mpfr library built for 32bit and 64bit Windows, so I had to obtain license information as well. I agree that this is almost immediately stale. I am not sure If I missed your issue by my design or Github's.
