where does plotman detect "completed" plots?

Making a fork for some improvements (signaling a REST API).

It doesn't look like plotman ever attempts to determine whether or not a job was successful - just waits til the process vanishes and then removes it.

I can make the necessary adjustments in the code, but I'm just curious if it happens somewhere other than where I'm looking.
