The http-api equivalent of this is user-agent. Based on our triage this seems fairly easy to implement. Is this something that you want to work on @magik6k, given that this is a request from Curio specifically? |

Currently there is no good way to tell what node backs an API.
api.Version
could have an additional field, e.g. NodeType, which would saylotus
for lotus,forest
for Forest, and maybe[source],gateway
