Now we are able, with UI or Yaml code, to change the 'Energy Date Selector' from True/False. This great.
This action needs to open the lovelace editor and edit the card to change the value, so this switch couldn't be performed dynamically from dashboard.
As Energy Utility show statistics and not real data, this has the consequence to select past data and not up-to-date data, it's not a problem when the selector is not Today, but stays as a problem with Today, the data arn't up-to-date and still stays with last hour.
Energy-flow-card-plus solves this probem with the last up-to-date info for devices entered inside the card and with 'Energy Date Selector' = False, but then, we are loosing the ability to display previous date.
Describe alternatives you've considered
So to add the ability to switch dynamicaly "Energy Date Selector" without editing the Card would be a very interesting solution
I suggest to add this switch in the same area than the dashboard_link
