Having Notification visual and sound options (in my case Desktop browser plugin scope) would be helpful to notify the user that a sync has happened (upload/download/whatever). Pretty simple, common settings to turn notifications on/off plus sound on/off or other customisation stuff. Maybe even two default sounds, one for sync upload, one for sync download. And the settings local per-device (or maybe global server-side is a good idea? dunno).

@marcelklehr a couple reasons come to mind initially:
Notify me that something changed when it shouldn't have (a ding to notify sync when I did not expect it, suggests maybe something is getting deleted/modified in a way I didn't want, or even by "someone" not me)
Notification that any modifications I made to my bookmarks just now have sync'd, without having to go click on the plugin.
So one part precaution/safety, another workflow improvement.
