Flux Bootstrap using Helm Charts

Hi, I'm trying to explore any helm charts available to bootstrap flux like we use flux-cli. So, that I can customize the deployments as per need in our environments such as modifying image tag for controllers, node-selectors etc.

However, seems the charts present there only creates pods/deployments for controllers, and do not perform similar functionality as bootstrapping with flux-cli. Like we can't provide git repository URL, path and branch to be used for synchronisation.

I have searched previous discussions also, where they mentioned that Helm might not be a good candidate for bootstrapping flux. but they were like 2-3 year old discussions. here is the reference to same - Link

I've following queries on top of it:

• Do we still not consider Helm a good candidate for bootstrapping Flux?
• If not, how do we customise the flux deployments then? like updating image tags, node-selectors etc?
• Are there any other methods we can use to bootstrap flux which can be adopted in enterprises? Since, we want to code everything in repo which provides audit trails etc.
