Release of Datafari 6.1

Dear Datafarians,

We released some days ago Datafari 6.1

As a reminder, Datafari comes in two flavors: the Community Edition, which is open source with an Apache v2 licence, and the Enterprise Edition, which is the production-ready and boosted version of the Community Edition. You can find the list of Datafari EE and CE differences on our Confluence.

The complete 6.1 list of changes is available on our github.

Here is the list of the main changes compared to v5.3 (since it's the last time we did the announced for a release, sorry !):

1. New duplicated detection functionality
2. More options for simplified jobs creation
3. Keep persistence after a restart of Docker container
4. A regex transformation connector
5. Atomic update capabilities for better incremental crawl performances
6. Updates of major components - in particular the move from Solr 8 to Solr 9
7. Resources optimization by switching from Apache Zeppelin to direct Solr queries for the analytics dashboards
8. Loads of bugfixes

As usual, we’d love to hear from you, be it to know what your use cases are, which enhancements you’d like to see, or which problems you have. Next steps for us are to work on a RAG module for Datafari, incoming for the first half of 2025.
