First off - thanks! For the software, and a discussion area - this is not a bug, likely an idiot (i.e. me) ... LOL. Just tried this out, liking the output, But one question - is there a way to have show icon / image downloaded also? For example, for a series (like, NFL Football, as an example). Thanks again. |

Need some clarification. Whether using the MXF for WMC or the XMLTV for something else, the http service will download the images on demand. I won't add code to automatically download all images since Schedules Direct limits the number you can download in a 24 hour period. |

What are you using the xmltv for? If the program requests the image, then it will be downloaded and saved in the image cache. c:\programdata\garyan2\epg123\images\ |

I should add, you have to have the server service installed and running to gain the http proxy and image cache. |

@garyan2 Good day, I believe i have the full version installed, however when i add my generated xmltv file to plex i only get a single poster image for any particular tv show, no background sheet image nor any other image. If you think i dont have the full version, could you direct me to where that is or confirm that all we can get from SD is a single poter for each TV show/program? thanks PS, if only one image is provided, is there a way to get other images? Saw someone with a project on github called xmltv enhancer which gets additional images, not sure that project is still a going concern, its dead, how would someone code something like that, if i knew i would probably attemt to code it myself, anyway thats a side thought. Thanks for responding to the questions above |

The only images in the xmltv file are the single image in 4 formats (2x3, 3x4, 4x3, and 16x9). If I recall correctly, Plex will only use the first image provided which is the 2x3 image. There is no method to provide other images in the xmltv file like you're asking, though I just learned the xmltv.dtd file was updated to do that. I don't know of any programs that use them. Plex does have an option to grab external data and images, but I don't have a lot of faith in it. It's been a few years, but I saw a lot of errors. All the college football events were changed to some documentary program about college football. |

Yes. Running the full install will add the proxy server for images and image links will be included in the xmltv.
