I thought you just had to change the 'Freedb site address' under Options.

Of course freedb.dbpoweramp.com does not allow submissions so you'll receive an error when trying to Submit.

I have done that personally but this is kinda a reminder to make the change. ;)

But freedb.dbpoweramp.com is 4 years behind and does not allow submissions. AccurateRip Meta is the new replacement for gnudb but does not have the same retrieval access as freedb and new code to replace/supplement is needed. Perhaps @c72578 would respond to my PM's over at HA.
