Device is not on account list #396

STAGE 5 > DEVICE CONFIGURATION SUMMARY |
See iCloud3 docs here for info on the Event Log. The Configure > iCloud3 Devices screen > Select Device, Submit displays the Update Device screen. It is used to select the Apple Account device and Mobile App device. Info on it is here. Some screens have changed in v3.1. The docs have not been updated. Check your Apple account devices on the FindMy app. The (3) after Lena’s debt ice name indicates you may face multiple devises with the same or similar names. This can happen when you get a new phone without removing the old one from your account. |
Can confirm here as well. Updated to latest version in HA. I did get a new 16 Pro, old phone is NOT listed in Find My (I actually sold it and removed Find My before selling it). I also deleted all devices and my account from the intergation to start over completely. After signing in fresh to my icloud account, zero devices are found in my account. I would like to believe it's something that's wrong in the integration. |
I logged in on icloud.com and you are right, the old phones from Lena are still in that list. We own that phones still but we are not using them. Lenas iPhone (3) is the newst phone of my wife and she bought it one year ago. icloud3 did work with both of our phones untill I updated it. I dont know why icloud3 cannot find those phones on my apple account. Additionaly i added the event log card like you linked it (thx!) and I updated the devices multiple times, but it didnt make it work. Still need help :( |
Go to Event Log > Actions > Export Event Log and email the file to geekstergary@gmail.com. I’ll see if I notice anything unusual. |
A lot of info is displayed in the Event Log when iCloud3 starts. The devices in the Apple account are set up in Stage 4. That area shows the device info for all of the devices Apple sent to iCloud3 and how those devices were associated with the iCloud3 devices. Review that and Stages 3 and 5 to make sure your devices are listed And correct. |
The configuration info you sent has a bunch of error messages at the start of the Event Log that tell you to:
It also looks like there are some missing fields from the configuration file that store that data. iCloud3 v3.1 added these missing fields when it started for the first time and it looks like it did not complete. Review and add the apple account on _Configure > Data Sources-Apple Accts & MobApp _ screen EDIT: I looked at the routines that added those fields to the configuration file and found an error where the apple account config field was not being initialized correctly when it was added to the file. Sorry you ran into it. |
I added an Apple account before I posted the log. It is still there but 0 deviced are tracked. Where is the configuration file? I'm searching it but I'm not used to this. Maybe it helps when i delete it and icloud3 is creating a new one. The FindMy app is still working great. It's just that icloud3 is not getting the informations from my Apple account. |
Same here :) I think, i've tried everything - deleted config, reinstalled the app, changed the password of the Apple account, sill the same, Apple account is in the app. logged successfully, but no devices to track !!! |
Same issue just happened to me. Saying 6 of 0 devices are being tracked. All devices are now unverified. |
Same thing here. A few days ago it worked fine, but now it doesn't without me changing anything. I wonder if Apple made some changes on their side that may have caused the problem (?). Here are some lines from the log:
|
About the 503 error. Yes Apple changed things. It has nothing to do with iCloud3 other than Apple reverted to the old password authentication method before they broke it at the end of October. See the 503 isseus again here for more info |
Thanks. Yes, downgrading do 3.0.5.9 solves the problem for me as well. |
Yeah, downgrading worked for me too 👍 |
Same here. Well that feels good after so many hours of trying >.< @gcobb321 Sorry if its a stupid question, but are you working on a solution for that? Is it even possible to solve this? Im just a little noob :( |
@enigma746 |
ok i still got problems... its so frustrating.
i updated on the newst HA version and updated icloud3 after that. now i got the same problem as yesterday.
i am not good in this stuff... can you tell me where i find the event log?
when i go to "update icloud3 device" i got the error "A device providing location data must be selected" twice. its posted at "apple account icloud device" and "mobile app device tracker entity". at apple account i can only chose my account. if i do that the error is posted again. if i choose a mobile app device tracker entity there is no error, but the device trackers are wrong.
i am sure if i activate the backup again its working again.
i hope you can help me because im really frustrated at the moment. i dont know what i did wrong by updating :(
best regards
timo
