Provide a clear and concise overview of the new feature requested.

The GEOS-Chem Wiki will need to be migrated to a new server (because the old server is approaching end-of-life). The GCST proposes porting the oldest wiki pages to PDF, which can be stored in a Google drive. This will help to reduce the amount of data that needs to be migrated to the new server.

The oldest wiki pages include:

  • GEOS-Chem version pages (versions 7 through 11)
  • GEOS-Chem newsletters (going back to 2009)
  • Information about emissions or other updates that have since been removed from GEOS-Chem

The conversion can be automated. Wiki pages can be converted from MediaWiki to HTML with curl, and then to PDF with pandoc.

I am creating this issue as a placeholder so that we don't lose sight of this.

We have created a GEOS-Chem Wiki archives page with links to several of the PDFs that have been created from older pages. We will be updating this page with additional archives.

Also, we have removed several "orphaned" files that no longer link to an active wiki page.
