[Feature Request] Ping Dot

Description

Screenshots on GitHub homepage show ping response times as colored dots which provide at a glance visual status. My instance shows ping times as small colored numbers. The numbers are hard to read and are not nearly as visible as a colored dot would be.

The request is to add a configuration option to choose whether to display ping results as tiny numbers(current) or as a dot (previous versions)

I have implemented this feature tell me if this ever get accepted i would be happy to make a pull request.
I have made 2 styles dot and dot-outline.

To answer my own question of how to implement the new ping style (in latest main release branch), add the following to each service that has ping enabled in services.yaml:

        ping: http://{{HOMEPAGE_VAR_IP}} #your ping link
        statusStyle: basic #or dot

1. how do you implement the new style options from the recent PR (e.g., in settings? In services?)?
2. What is the 'my sites' block in your screenshot??

Sorry i was quite busy.
I didn't see the recent PR's so I can't really help you.
The my sites block is a new features I called it a backpack. It can be collapsed and show the combined status of services.

@stevietv I just made the change. It was pretty easy to update the services.yaml file. You can easily cut and paste that line in nano using ctrl-k and ctrl-u. You manually type the line once and then ctrl-k to cut it and continually ctrl-u it under ever "ping" line.

so I'm not using a services.yml but services are added to my homepage by docker labels. Instead of adding an additional label per service it'd be nice to define the default statusStyle

I'd support that as well, ideally a default statusStyle set in settings.yaml that would apply to both ping and docker status indicators (e.g., having dots for ping and docker).

Then, we could over-ride a specific service on an individual basis within its services.yaml entry.
