Moto Server in Gitlab with Docker Executor

moto version - 5.0.13

I am running a Moto Server

    server.start()
    host, port = server.get_host_and_port()

and invoking a Lambda function,

lambdafn.invoke(
            FunctionName=<...>,
            InvocationType='RequestResponse',
            Payload=json.dumps(records,indent=4)
        )

The invoked Lambda tries to make an ECS service call.

This test works locally ( #8052 ), but when running the same setup in Gitlab with Docker executor. I am not able to make it run.

Getting the following error:

[ERROR] EndpointConnectionError: Could not connect to the endpoint URL: "http://host.docker.internal:36513/"

Any suggestions?

Seems it gets complicated when running in GitLab with Docker executor 😢

Also there appears to be a problem of "volume in use" when trying to run moto server in host mode 😢 with lambda.invoke
