How all transactions are recorded and sent (in JS SDK)? :thinking_face:

I see a lot of Transaction being recorded on sentry console, but at what point in time are they sent to sentry?(especially on frontend?)

Looking at the devtools, it looked like the request was only flying at the time navigation occurs.

Is there any technical documentation on that? I would like to know out of curiosity!

Hey @takapiro99! Transactions should be sent to Sentry as soon as they are finished, so when the pageload/navigation is done.

This brings up another question: in SPAs such as React, fetches that occur in the background are not recorded? So by default, we cannot get accurate data for performance monitoring?

Does this mean when the tab is in the background? We don’t record performance data automatically when the document is hidden - but you can do manual instrumentation here.

The reason is that when the document is hidden, the data is much more inconsistent. This makes it harder to do general analysis.

If you’re just talking about regular data fetches, we should be recording that!
