How to manually create hubs and make it current/not current?

Hi, i use Bun with sentry and want to make hub for each incoming http request

How cant i simply do that? I need to create Hub for groupping breadcrumbs in sentry like it is done in node handlers from @sentry/node

Take a look at https://docs.sentry.io/platforms/node/configuration/async-context/. This is the docs for Node, but it also exists for Bun. Let me fix the docs so it shows up there.

@krutoo things have changed a little since my post because we released a new major version of the JavaScript SDKs.

What version are you using? In 8.x you shouldn't need to wrap your express middleware, just follow this guide: https://docs.sentry.io/platforms/javascript/guides/express/

@AbhiPrasad Now I use 8.x, unfortunately, I can't follow this guide because in my case Express is an implementation detail that may change.

I need a lower level mechanism so that I can manually create a sentry scope when receiving an HTTP request and close it after the response

How can I do it?

Then the approach you have here:

is correct. this is how we do the express integration internally.

Yes because we rely on OTEL async context management. Any reason why you are disabling opentelemetry?
