According to Semantic Versioning MAJOR versioning is precisely designed to make incompatible changes to the API. Otherwise, what is the point of this MAJOR version? It is at most a MINOR version. Don't you think you are violating Semantic Versioning principles with this? |

We are currently working on the next major update of the Sentry SDK. Version 3.0.
We try to keep the breaking changes as few as possible (like with every release).
This update will align the SDK more with OpenTelemetry. Giving you the power of OpenTelementry with the ease-of-use of Sentry.
We are excited of the update, and so should you. :-)
More details will be added here over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
