Is it possible to allow for a command to tell the agent to update or uninstall itself? I see that runCommand is disabled, and I understand the security implications of this command, so I cannot blame the dev team. Perhaps there's a way to tell the agent to remove itself remotely?
What about auto-updating the agent when, say, 1.5 is released? If I have hundreds of agents deployed, I really don't want the maintenance of these updates.
Alternatives you've considered
A 3rd party application to uninstall the agent. Not really a good option.
