How to run gradlew assembleRelease by zx scripts?

My scripts is:

/** buildAndroid.mjs */
cd('./android')
await $`gradlew assembleRelease`  // or: await $`.\\gradlew assembleRelease`

It doesn't work and throw error:

$ gradlew assembleRelease
/bin/bash: line 1: gradlew: command not found
Error: /bin/bash: line 1: gradlew: command not found
    at file:///D:/GitRepo/background-app/scripts/buildAndroid.mjs:47:8
    exit code: 127 (Command not found)
 ELIFECYCLE  Command failed with exit code 1.

or:

$ .\gradlew assembleRelease
/bin/bash: line 1: .gradlew: command not found
Error: /bin/bash: line 1: .gradlew: command not found
    at file:///D:/GitRepo/background-app/scripts/buildAndroid.mjs:47:8
    exit code: 127 (Command not found)
 ELIFECYCLE  Command failed with exit code 1.

We are invoking Gradle tasks with $ all the time – it looks like you are using a backslash instead of a slash in front of the gradle command, though.

Did you already try this?

cd('./android')
await $`./gradlew assembleRelease`

1. Keep in mind: cd provides global effect and switches the root process dir. We suggest using '$({cwd: './android'})./gradlew assembleRelease instead.
2. zx has preferLocal option to add custom dirs to the env PATH.
