Just a suggestion for slideshows, I find it more convenient for authors if I create a Slideshow bean type with a field collection or paragraph field for the slides. This allows the author to edit the entire slideshow in one place, including drag'n'drop sorting. If you limit your content types to only content that can standalone on a page you don't need to worry about where the content may show up (Drupal search results, Google, site map, xmlsitemap, etc).

It would be beneficial to be able to restrict access to certain node pages.
An example of this are slideshow nodes, which you only ever want public users to see within the slideshow.
The rabbit hole module provides this functionality.
