Can't build Ch02

That's not to say I can build anything else - Ch02 is the first I've tried but I'm getting an error:
A problem occurred evaluating root project 'ch02'.

Failed to apply plugin [class 'io.spring.gradle.dependencymanagement.DependencyManagementPlugin']
Could not create task of type 'DependencyManagementReportTask'.

  Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.

BUILD FAILED
Is there anything special I need to do with this code in order to get it working?
Running it with --stacktrace I get pretty much the same, with this at the bottom:

You can succeed with either replacing to latest spring version or using old version of gradle
