Yuzu Browser Privacy Policy

This privacy policy statement is created to clearly state the developer's policies with respect to data collection, usage, and security. These policies are stated to ensure you know what personal details you may or may not disclose when the software is being utilized, and the choices you have associated with that data. If you decide to continue using Yuzu Browser, it means you accept to adhere and abide by all the terms and conditions stated by the developer in this policy. Kindly note that this Privacy Policy applies only to this software. The developer would not be held responsible for the content or privacy practices on any third party app not operated by the developer to which this software links, or that links to this software. Therefore, it is advisable to read up the privacy policies of third party services that may be linked to this software.


Permission and Access

These permissions need to be enabled for the software to work properly on the device on which the software's services are intended. permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: Needed for sites that want your location (you can deny location access).

permission.WAKE_LOCK: Needed for playing video.

permission.INSTALL_SHORTCUT: Needed for [add to home screen] action.

permission.CAMERA: Needed to support WebRTC (you can deny camera access).

permission.RECORD_AUDIO: Needed to support WebRTC (you can deny record audio).

permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Needed to support WebRTC


Information and data collection

Your personal information can be collected by the developer when the services of the software are utilized. But, the developer only collects crash logs and application health(number of users for calculating the number of crash-free users). When some actions are performed, some data(usage data) may be collected by the software but not shared.


Crash reports sending

Yuzu Browser is stable and works fine but you may still experience few errors and crashes. The information about these crashes is important to us so the issues can be fixed immediately and the software is running efficiently again. Although the developer is able to get reports when the app crashes, you can also speed up the process by informing the developer. If you encounter a bug during the use of this software, please open an issue on GitHub and it will be fixed in due time. When submitting a crash report, please provide a logcat to help the developer pinpoint the cause of the crash quickly and fix it accordingly.


Service Providers

Yuzu Browser depends on the services of third-party services to facilitate its operations and to perform service-related services or to assist in analyzing how the services of the software are used. These third-party tools may have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on the developer's behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

There are also links within the app that redirects you to the project's repository on Github.


Security Of Data

The security of your data is important, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure therefore the developer doesn't guarantee its absolute security.


Changes To This Privacy Policy

The developer may update this policy as there will be further development of the software and these developments will likely not be consistent with some statements and terms contained in this current policy. It is advisable to check this policy periodically for any changes. Minor changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are made on this document while heavy amendments to this policy statement will be effective thirty days (30 days) after it's been made

Yuzu browser is created with the intention of providing a more efficient way of surfing the internet. There is no security threat associated with the operations and utilization of Yuzu Browser. You may, however, decide to surf through websites that are forbidden in your country or, locale and this may lead to legal cases. The developer will not be held accountable for how you decide to use this software and for contents you decide to browse using the software.
