We are making some changes to level to #903 which are excruciatingly hard while also dragging the upper levels and their translations along, so I am temporarily removing those and I will merge them back in when this big refactor is over.
I thought it'd be wisest to now merge some work into main (via #1144) because otherwise everyone (and me) will have merge conflicts all over.
