EDIMAX IC-3115W

Hello world,

recently I found an old IP cam from Edimax in the "old-stuff" box and tried to integrate it into homebridge and homekit but i failed – and i don't know why. The camera is sending an mjpeg stream on

http:///snapshot.cgi

and a picture on

http:///snapshot.jpg

I can access both in the browser (safari), in VLC and in different other streaming apps. The camera as device is also recognized and forwarded by homebridge. But there's no stream or picture. Instead i receive the following messages:

I have tried different options (+user/pwd and others) but all without success.
What can I do more?

Can you share your config? Have you tried with debug enabled? That often shows helpful error messages.

At first it looks good, but after the integration in HomeKit several errors occur:
(I replaced my real ip in the log with [IP] due to safety reasons !!!)

Looks like you’ve got a weird build of ffmpeg? It doesn’t recognize http as a protocol, and is also barfing handling setting up the camera stream to HomeKit.

It is running on a Synology – what can I do?
