Blacklevel of Daheng Cameras #11
Comments
I have not used this feature before. Looks like it’s only supported on a few camera models: https://www.daheng-imaging.com/upload/accessory/MERCURY2%20USB3%20Vision%20Cameras%20User%20Manual_V1.0.10.pdf If the goal is to adjust the LUT, maybe it’s better to do it on the computer side? |
Hey Hongquan, thanks for your reply. Since we have gaussian readnoise, some
values get clipped at zero (due to negative noise values). That's bad for
deconvolution ;)
I was wondering why it's not imolemented. Do you think one can ask them
directly? Allied vision was quite Happy to help ;-)

Ah, that's interesting. Was not sure if the value of ~in yesterday's
measurements came from background or dark level. Need to calibrate it.
Thanks for helping out. I'll definitely get a few more if these cameras.
Imx290 is your favourite? Interesting since the Huawei phone I used to have
has an imx286, but I think the numberings do not mean much at all.

I see. Looks like they already have an offset that should help avoid most
clippings. We can ask if they can make the value adjustable through
firmware upgrade. You can email Suyu (kongsy[at]daheng-imaging.com) and
I'll also ask them on WeChat.

Hey, me again. I was wondering if you ever managed to get the Blacklevel set in the Daheng cameras for proper fluorescent imaging. I tried implementing it here, but their API says it's read-only even though it should be writeable - perhaps only my camera?
Thanks :)
