napari menu

When using napari as visualizer, the main menu becomes the napari menu. However it seems disconnected from the viewer itself. For example one cannot open a sample via the File menu. Also plugins cannot be used via the menu. I testest that it's possible to add a plugin dock widgets via the embedded terminal and they are functional. Given the large number of existing plugins it would be great to be able to access them via the menu.

Another note about the napari menu. When using the old visualizer, there's a File menu from where one can set Acquisition settings. This menu is not available in the napari version. Is it available somewhere else?
