Update

Now the official has released a 64-bit kernel, no need to compile manually! looook here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware, The kernel latest version is 4.19.88

Getting Started

Download the archlinuxarm-aarch64-rpi.img or archlinuxarm-aarch64-rpi.tar.gz, and install images, if you don't know how to install, please read raspberry official installation documentation at install images.

the Wifi Configuration at '/boot/wpa_supplicant.conf', you can add your wifi information to the format inside. If there is nothing wrong with it, raspberry pi will automatically connect to your wifi at boot. The default root password is root.

the first boot, must input

/usr/bin/init_resize

or

init_resize

to extended rootfs space to the entrie tf card, it will reboot. next everything is given to google and archlinux wiki!

Notice

for aur helper

at /root has a yay package, if you want to install an aur helper tools, yay is a good choice.

pacman -U yay-xxx.xz

for mirrors

the archlinux mirrors default is "https://mirrors.tuna.tsinghua.edu.cn/", please change according to your country and region.

GPIO

# pacman -S python python-pip
# pip install RPi.GPIO

RPi.GPIO works well

Camera

Append to /boot/config.txt:

gpu_mem=128

if use 800w pixel camera, you had better set gpu_mem=256

In order to use standard applications (those that look for /dev/video0) the V4L2 driver must be loaded. This can be done automatically at boot by creating an autoload file, /etc/modules-load.d/rpi-camera.conf:

bcm2835-v4l2 The V4L2 driver by default only allows video recording up to 1280x720, else it glues together consecutive still screens resulting in videos of 4 fps or lower. Adding the following options removes this limitation, /etc/modprobe.d/rpi-camera.conf:

options bcm2835-v4l2 max_video_width=3240 max_video_height=2464
