Cant open settings

I've right-click the taskbar, hover the cursor to iMA menu, and clicked settings. But it still isn't opening, why is this?

Is there an alternative way I can open it?

Did you use the offline installer or online installer? If it's the offline please try reinstalling with the online installer

What version of windows are you using? if 11, is it 23h2 or 24h2?

I'm currently running Windows 11 24H2.

I encountered an issue when I first tried to open the Settings app. Instead of opening the Settings window, a dialog box titled "Open with" appeared. Python (version unknown) was the recommended application, and I mistakenly selected "Always." I realize now this was an error on my part.

Is there a way to reset the default application for opening Settings so it functions correctly again?

Do you have other python versions installed? this happens when there's a python installed and the script for now is not packaged since it's beta and I need to make it open and editable for users to see and edit and fix, so I included a python version inside the program.

Try going to the program file > iMA Menu > Script > Shift+right click on "Launcher.pyw" and click open with > python.
See if this launches it. if it did, then try to open it from settings.

Thank you for pointing out which script open the settings. It finally works now!

Here’s the step-by-step process I followed:

1. I navigated to C:\Program Files\IMA Menu\script\Launcher.pyw.
2. I shift+right-clicked on Launcher.pyw, selected Open with, and "choose another app".
3. Two Python options appeared: one with a rocket icon and one without. I selected the Python without the rocket icon.

After following these steps, everything worked perfectly!

It seems the issue was caused by selecting the Python with the rocket icon earlier.

Glad it's working now! This gave me a clear idea on what's the issue and how to fix it. I will be updating the script to ensure this happen along with other fixes I'm working on.
