Some artifacts give additional bonuses related to the hero's class.
Note: When the hero has to visit a location guarded by creatures, the guardians must be defeated (by any hero) for the bonus to be awarded (example: City of the Dead).
Here some examples:
Necromancer hero:
Power Ring:
Pendant of Death:
Spade of Necromancy:
The player can choose the type of creature, base or upgraded.
Skeletons when he visits an Excavation.
Mutant Zombies or Zombies when he visits a Graveyard.
Royal Mummies or Mummies when he visits a Pyramid.
Vampire Lords or Vampires when he visits Xanadu.
Ghosts when he visits the Barrow Mounds.
Power Liches or Liches when he visits the City of the Dead.
Bone Dragons when he visits a Dragon City.
The number of creatures raised corresponds to 3 times the base growth of the creature (with the well bonus for Skeletons):

Reference for transformation of creatures (Ankh):
KNIGHT CASTLE
BARBARIAN CASTLE
SORCERESS CASTLE
WARLOCK CASTLE
WIZARD CASTLE
NECROMANCER CASTLE
NEUTRAL
This is an option (a set of options) with eventually a sub-option for each artifact:
"World: Artifacts give additional bonuses related to the hero's class"
Note: all of this could eventually change, especially the stated values. :)
