Changes to YouTube's Inntertube API have made it seemingly impossible to download restricted content without authentication. There was a workaround using the tv_embedded client but this stopped working in October of this year (yt-dlp/yt-dlp#11296).
You should still be able to run your own local Cobalt instance with a disposable Google account configured (see docs). Alternatively you could use yt-dlp / youtube-dl with --cookies-from-browser <browser>.
I'm not super familiar, but using an account proxy server (as Simple-YouTube-Age-Restriction-Bypass does) might be one approach. Though unsure if that's a direction the Cobalt team wants to take
describe the feature you'd like to see
They should add a feature that allows you to download restricted videos or audio (explicit lyrics or explicit content) on YouTube.
Thanks!
additional context
In my case I wanted to download some songs with restrictions but I couldn't.
