The terminal UI is pretty nifty and moderately decoupled from the rest of the application. It has been pointed out to me that not only is it a nifty interface for nerds, it also plays nicely with screen readers.

I don't have the experience needed to make this transition according to Best Practices, but it could be easily split off, documented, and published as a standalone npm module.
