Is the DW-H5600 supported by the app? As to features though, I'd like to see integration with the Nextcloud Health app. It has RESTful API endpoints for just about everything the DW-H5600 monitors/tracks, and having the ability to configure the app to just "send my fitness / health data directly to my own 'private cloud' instance"... Just the idea has me practically giddy! I've had the same two Casio watches for nearly 25 years now, and had no idea they'd made anything like these newer BT enabled watches, let alone those with health tracking capabilities. Only came across this app as I've been looking for some kind of privacy friendly fitness/health tracking options outside of Garmin - saw your app on f-droid which piqued my interest, and down the rabbit hole I went. If the DW-H5600 isnt yet supported, and assuming its something you would want to support here (or support to xyz extent), do you have an idea of what it might take to do so, or what might be needed? I assume you'd likely need the device yourself (?), or is there anything else perhaps (other than time of course, which I'm sure is in high demand!)? |

I see the Nextcloud Health app is web based. So purhaps the user does not have to interact with it directly. Can it be used as just a server? Even so, it is out of our control if they decide to bring it down or make it non-free at some point. |

I'd like to suggest a feature on reminders so that only future events show at the top of the list and are default-selected for "Actions" > "Set Calendar events" (for ex. on my case, I have some past birthdates repeating every year that show always on top on the "Reminder" list, even if their due yearly date is later than classic events) -- not sure if I'm clear enough on that) |

Yes, okay, I see what you mean. This is because events are sorted by first
occurrence. It makes sense to sort on next occurrence. I'll look into it,
but I think I'll add it to the new app, which will take a few weeks to
complete

Ok, great! Might as well get the latest APK here:
https://github.com/izivkov/GShockSmartSyncCompose/releases/download/v1.1.8/app-release.apk
I am fixing small problems, but getting stable now.
Regards,
Ivo

@izivkov <https://github.com/izivkov> When connected with Bluetooth, the
4-times a day BT time sync is mandatory and it takes over the classic radio
signal ("Multi-band 6")
You can of course turn off BT Time Adj. from the App but it also turns off
Radio time sync.
Do you know of a setting that allows one to connect BT but disable BT Time
sync while keeping Radio Time sync ?

I have not tried it, so it is not officially supported. But most Casio
watches work the same way when it comes to Bluetooth. You can try it, and
there is a good chance it will work.

can you read the charging wattage or the current battery voltage in the app? I think this could be useful |

No, I cannot read the wattage. At least, I don't know how, but I doubt they
will provide this information. There is only a number for the battery level
and temperature, which I found by trial and error.

This discussion is about suggestions and implementing some new features we can add to the app. I like to hear your suggestions and also implement some of them if you'd like to contribute. Here are some ideas to get started:
For fitness watches, such as DWH5600, integrate with Google Fit.
Re-write the UI using Jetpack Compose. This will simplify future AI development.
Implement TIME&Space function, using an open-source maps, like Organic Maps.
Feel free to add more here...
