Do I understand it correct that you are able to build ownCloud client for ARM?
Currently ownCloud themselfs doesn't offer ARM builds which makes it impossible (for me) to use such a Client on my RasperryPi 4 (running with Debian 11).
I don't understand all details of your scripts. Do they use ownCloud srouces from Ubuntu?
Thanks for your interest! Yes, back when I made the scripts they worked for building the client for ARM, e.g. for the Chromebook I was using back then.
I haven't updated and used the scripts myself in some time and also moved to Nextcloud, so I can't comment on if they currently work.
I looked in the Nextcloud repository and found a relevant issue there: nextcloud/desktop#2564
If you do end up trying the scripts out or figure something out, you are very welcome to comment over in that issue. :) As far as I can see ARM is not a prio currently, but of course community contributions are always welcome!
(We also have a contributor conference upcoming in Berlin if you are interested: https://nextcloud.com/conf )
So I'm not super knowledgeable about all the new installer formats – we do have an AppImage for the Nextcloud desktop client, but I'm not sure this means it's automatically compatible with ARM? https://nextcloud.com/install/#install-clients
Dear Jan,
I found your scripts but haven't tested them yet.
