My commit message is coming with a main prefix everytime

I also noticed this after syncing my config file with recent changes.

Commenting these lines did the trick:

Not sure why this is required though.

Edit: this also occurs with Git version:

Also getting this with the default config.yml, commenting out those lines also fixed it for me.
