Deactivating Magnetic Field Calculator requirement

Hello, Jonny. Hope all is well! I am always online therefore I have never noticed it before. But once I was offline and was performing a simple N,E,TVD calculation from MD,Inc,Azi and noticed error: "magnetic_field_calculator.ApiError: <urlopen error [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed>". I assume this is because for magnetic_field_calculator I need to be online? Is there a quick way (argument, etc.) to deactivate the magnetic_field_calculator requirement (I am using welleng 0.7.0)? Thanks!

Hi @Georgy1987

You've caught me about to go on leave, but from memory if you define the b_total parameter in the SurveyHeader that is passed to the header parameter when you initiate the Survey, then it won't try and look it up online.

It makes sense - thanks! I created the header:
from welleng import survey
sh = survey.SurveyHeader(b_total=50000,dip=50,declination=0)
and then passed it to the header parameter:
s = survey.Survey(md,inc,azi,header=sh)
However, when I run the code offline, it shows the same error that happens at the survey.SurveyHeader line now. It seems that it still wants to go online and use magnetic_field_calculator.

Is it possible to set welleng.survey.MAG_CALC = False?
