Reducing the gap between the right header menu items

Hello,
I would like to reduce the space between the right header menu items, the ones on the right of the title menu item. The problem isn't noticeable on the desktop layout, but it is much more on the tablet layout. Here I have a screenshot from the tablet version of my website, where the closeness between the title item and the wideness of the rest of the header menu items is shown. I use the overall hybrid layout, so this isn't of course an issue with the smartphone version of the website.

What I've been able to do to mitigate the problem was to add in a custom.css file the following:

header {
  font-size: 11pt;
  margin-right: -8px;
  margin-left: -8px;
}

which produces the result you see in the image. Modifying the code further is beyond my current knowledge of CSS, so any help would be gladly appreciated!
