how about writing the currency ''K'' for the amount? So it doesn't look like the amount is in thousands (K)?

Can you elaborate a little on how that would work? In the case of the image I included "7722₭" would become "₭ 7.22K", I think?

No I think it would be more logical that "7722₭" would become "₭7722". Just like we do in euros or dollars. But i see that “₭7.722k" could be confusing somehow…
