Freech is a PHP-based, secure, fast, scalable and themable discussion forum. It features plugin support and maintains (amongst others) a theme that is was similar to the forum found on the popular German newsticker Heise Online.
The source code of the project was migrated manually from Google Code to GitHub. The e-mail addresses of the contributors have been removed.
The source code is not currently in active development.
The project was initiated with the GPL v2 license in of 2005.
