If we have such a gallery view for many boards, we can browse...

games in a directory
recently opened or deleted games
progress of a game (at move numbers 25, 50, 75, 100, ...)
blunders in a game
principal variations for various suggested moves
progress of principal variations through the search
principal variations by various AIs
