FlashFloppy is a labour of love: working on it takes a lot of time and effort. The development of new features, plus maintenance, bug fixing, testing, release preparations and so on is a huge undertaking; and that ignores non-development tasks such as writing documentation and community management.

Stable vs Experimental

  • v3.x release series is well tested and has sufficient features for the majority of users.
  • v4.x is the development series containing major new features and design changes, including all-new asynchronous I/O handling.

Use v4.x if you need or love the latest features, or you would like to provide test feedback!
