What is the iOS version / device?
Certainly, lightning to usb3 camera adapter can cause instability. It should work steadily when you connect the self-powered usb hub using "lightning to usb camera adapter" (not usb3) and get power supply.

it didnt work on a iphone 11 running 14.5.1 and a iphone 6s running 14.3 with a usb 3 to camera adaptor (no power plug on it), but when i test with my usb 2 to camera adaptor (no power supply) it works fine

What do you mean by that, is there a certain adapter which has a separate power supply rather than powered by host device?

Also I think OP is talking about my devices.. it was iphone X 14.4.1 to 6S ios 14.0 which wasn't working. OP thinks it may be USB 3 issue.

All the USB camera adapters readily available are currently usb3 spec, maybe ra1npoc is simply not recognizing it.

In all cases you will need to use the lightning to usb camera adapter

Lightning to usb3 camera adapter can lead to unstable connections and is not suitable for running exploits.

Sounds like you’re saying I need a usb 2 adapter.. all the ones on Amazon (USA) are usb3. I’ll have to find one somewhere thanks

Please contact the Apple Store.

I’ve purchased a genuine Apple adapter on eBay.. I think you’re saying that’s what I need. It doesn’t say usb3 on specs. I’ll see if it works then.
